Fairly dense nonfiction! Yes, I feel this very much also. Sometimes the whole world feels like an incredibly dense nonfiction (or even fiction) and is often heavy enough without adding a lot of extra pages.

Number 14 resonates. Several library holds came in at the same time, and it's all (fairly dense) nonfiction, and it's just too much.
