June, a list: Reflections of birds in windows We are destroying mostly all things at a broken-neck speed and so surely there is simply no time any more for people to spend on destroying each other? Though this does not seem to be widely accepted or even acknowledged

I told my mother about the mallard and we are mourning along with it. I wanted to say that I have graduated, finally and at last. Though it has all happened at broken-neck speed (a very good and accurate description of everything, I think), I am glad it is done. (I also feel that aching of hitting glass when you expected sky. The birds are not alone in almost anything, it seems.) Let the crumpets and the chlorine and the vulnerable things hold us together as summer continues to grow. Thank you <3.
