No.48
I didn't think it would be Saturday again so soon. This has been a frantic week, the kind where you only begin to feel like you're even standing the right way up halfway through. The kind where you are absurdly trying to do everything all at once, holding onto more projects than you comfortably can, holding on for dear life because what other options are there. I've been trying to drink less coffee; it gives me headaches and makes my hands shake, but it's been the only way to keep going under these grey skies
(April decided to keep me cold).
ON THE JOURNAL THIS WEEK:
Just a handful of words on the Chinese concept of wu-wei, or 'not trying'.
I also finally got around to putting up some of my original hand-lettered quotes for sale (it only took three years y'all, it's fine). Margaret Atwood (below, top) is already spoken for, but there are a few others available at the moment, and I'll continue to add more over the next day or two. I rarely put original artwork up for sale, but there will be a few pieces going up this week, such as this one.
THIS WEEK I FELL IN LOVE WITH:
These paintings of solitary swimmers by Pedro Covo.
The end.
That's all for today, I will now go back to working on a book proposal (yikes) and creating day 26 for my 100 day project and drowning myself in cups of Earl Grey. A quick thought—if you have previously seen a quote that you badly want to call your own, drop me a quick email and I'll a) let you know if it's available and b) keep ahold of it.
Farewell, see you next sometime.
