No.39
In 13 weeks time, I will have written a year of newsletters, if you ignore the fact that sometimes there was sometimes a gap or three in between. I don't think if you asked me I would say it could have possibly been that long; days have a way of passing excruciatingly slowly and then all at once, which leads me to thinkĀ about how many days I've spent on this planet so far, and how many more I might have left, and that makes me feel a bit dizzy. Let's begin.
THINGS THAT HAPPENED ON THE BLOG THIS WEEK:
A piece of illustration that I've been working on, and the story behind it. I'm almost finished with it now, but have realised that I've been going far slower than strictly necessaryĀ because I don't want to ever finish drawing tiny windows.
THINGS IāVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH:
This moody-plant gouache painting by New York based Yelena Bryksenkova, and absolutely everything by Canadian painter Janna Watson.
The end.
It is at this point in the newsletter that I always want to ask how you are doing, what kind of day you're having, whether or not you are hungry at this precise minute. So if you would like to, hit the reply button and say hello (I'm the least scary person I know, and to give you an idea of how utterly non-threatening I amĀ this is what I'm currently listening to).
Farewell, see you next sometime.
