No.29
I wasn't going to do a newsletter this week, because when something large or dramatic happens in the world, it normally leaves me completely bereft of adequate words and thoughts. But then I thought no, it doesn't do to dwell or to not carry on along a certain path just because something or someone pushes you off it—that doesn't mean you weren't already on the right track. So this one can be short and sweet and ever-so-slightly boring.
THING NOBODY ELSE HAS SEEN:
One of the outcomes of my recent trip to Canada was a handful of different and precious illustrations, here is one of them. My only real conclusion of the past few days is that we have to keep reaching towards warmth.
THIS WEEK I FELL IN LOVE WITH:
Several pairs of scissors. I already own the pair below from Hay Design, but it might only be a short while before I cave horribly and buy another pair shaped like a phoenix.
And the song just below, I have been listening to in place of thinking actual thoughts because sometimes, you just don't need 'em.
The end.
That'll do. I just wanted to drop by your inbox and say hello really, check in, hope you're doing well—doing well all things considered. If you're having an against-the-tide sort of day, let me know and I'll try to make it better by drawing you birds.
It wouldn't be make believe if you believed in me.
Farewell, see you next sometime.
