No.22
This newsletter is a little late (sorry everyone). Partly because until about 4pm I was busy accidentally walking around an entire island and hopping on and off boats and partly because I decided it wasn't the end of the world if it slipped by a few hours. My feet hurt, a lot.
THINGS THAT HAPPENED ON THE BLOG THIS WEEK & WORK:
A video of my hand doing lettering for a quote, this, and this. As you may have noticed, THE ILLUSTRATED BOOK OF SAYINGS got released in the US this week! Although the significance of this sometimes slips past me, and although it can be hard to relate to happenings across the ocean, I'm very excited. Mostly because you can all see what on earth I've been doing this entire time.
OTHERNESS:
This weekend I'm in Göteborg, Sweden. For no other reason than because I wanted to run away from everyday things for 72 hours. I've already been to the archipelago (beautiful) and have taken time to eat a hagabullar the size of my actual head (Je ne regrette rien). Illustrations of overgrown cinnamon buns and shockingly blue waters to follow.
THIS WEEK I FELL IN LOVE WITH:
Paintings by California-based Kai Samuels Davis.
The end.
There we have it. A short one, but I'm going to make next week extra good to compensate. The Scandinavian air is unlike anything else, and last night I finally, finally slept. I feel clean just breathing here.
Farewell, see you next sometime.
