No.16
Several months of newsletters, what a funny thing it is. This week has been one of sunshine, burnt knees and replanting. I received and replied to some of the kindest emails from readers of Lost in Translation, went wandering in the outside world, stroked a large dog. Let's begin.
THINGS THAT HAPPENED ON THE BLOG THIS WEEK:
Alerting you all to the fact that I am (sort of) a Vimeo Staff Pick. I've tried to include the video below but can't promise it will work because embedding issues are a real thing. Also on the blog, a quote to remind us that it is all fleeting.
BOOK-RELATED NEWS:
I'm all done with the German translation (see below). It's been so strange doing the French, Spanish, German editions... they often end up so overlapped, so woven into each other. I forget where one ends and the next begins.
I've just been informed that the Japanese edition of Lost in Translation has been reprinted again, which makes nearly 100,000 copies! And I've seen their cover design for my new book too—it's a winner.
THINGS NOBODY ELSE HAS SEEN:
1. This beauty.
2. Ancient sketchbook discovery.
3. The work I do when it all goes quiet.
The end.
So, we reach the end once more. I'm currently listening to radio podcasts and wondering how best to use the rest of my Saturday, as so far it has involved work, some town frolicking and decaf coffee because I'm harbouring a suspicion that it's contributing to migraines. I think maybe a spot of bicycling.
Farewell, see you next sometime.
