No.1
Welcome to my very first newsletter in the whole entire world. I know this is going to be a little weird for both of us, but I'm glad that you are here. I feel so accompanied. And I have absolutely no clue how you're meant to write or construct one of these things, but let's begin.
THINGS THAT HAPPENED ON THE BLOG THIS WEEK:
A quote, a rabbit sporting a cable-knit jumper, and a Spring-time sale on untranslatable prints.
P.S. It's not too late if you'd still like a sale untranslatable print. The magical code 'SPRINGISHERE' will work until this Tuesday and so we can all just relax, and think about how many books we bought this week. No I did not buy five books what in heaven do you mean.
BOOK-RELATED NEWS:
In case you blinked and missed it (like I nearly did), the Japanese edition of Lost in Translation was very recently published (left). Also in June, I will receive the German translation and begin work on the lettering for that one.
I have it on good authority (my literary agency) that the Italian edition is doing strangely well, and that it has been reprinted a bunch.
I also have to ask the UK tax people to sign 289347 forms for foreign income and jump through bureaucratic hoops and it's hard.
THINGS NOBODY HAS SEEN, EVER:
1. Roger's predecessor, whom I have named Benjamin. Yes, he's also wearing a jumper and yes, they look quite similar.
2. This quick illustration of a storm in a teacup (which seems irrelevant but secretly it is, in some ways, absolutely pivotal).
3. This very upbeat collage from really, a while ago.
The end.
Wow, that was over quickly huh. I thought it was quite fun, but I'm sure these will get exponentially more interesting as we go along. If you have any feedback, send a pigeon with your thoughts, or alternatively send an email. People still send emails, right? At least, interesting is my aim and therefore I'll have to pay serious attention to what is happening more often (my brain still thinks we are in January). OK, I must stop now.
Farewell, see you next sometime.
